What single-ply roofing is — and why it wins on flat roofs
Single-ply is the dominant system on commercial low-slope roofs for a reason. A single layer of factory-engineered membrane is rolled across the deck, mechanically fastened or fully adhered, then the seams are heat-welded or seam-taped into one continuous, watertight surface. Fewer seams than built-up. Lighter than a tile or modified-bitumen assembly. Installed right, a single-ply membrane shrugs off Southeast heat, UV and ponding water for decades.
RPI installs all three major single-ply chemistries — TPO, PVC and EPDM — on warehouses, distribution centers, schools, churches, retail, office and healthcare buildings. We don't push one product. We spec the membrane your building, your budget and your warranty target actually call for, then install it to the manufacturer's exact detail. If your existing roof is past repair, the same crews handle full commercial re-roofing; if it still has life left, ask about coatings and restoration instead.

TPO, PVC & EPDM
TPO
The go-to for energy savings. A bright white, hot-air-welded membrane that reflects solar heat — ideal for warehouses, distribution and big-box retail cutting cooling load. 45–80 mil reinforced.
PVC
The premium single-ply. Heat-welded like TPO but with superior resistance to grease, chemicals and ponding water — the right call for restaurants, healthcare and rooftop exhaust. 50–80 mil reinforced.
EPDM
The long-track-record rubber membrane. Tough, flexible across wide temperature swings and economical on large simple roofs — dependable for office, institutional and churches. 45–90 mil EPDM.
